For Buyers
AI pricing intelligence for every bid.
Earlyasset helps secondary buyers and institutional acquirers set bids, assess deal flow, and watch target portfolios before allocating capital.
The buyer challenge
Private markets need clearer pricing data
Secondary private equity markets have a built-in information gap. Sellers often know their cap table position, recent internal financing prices, and sometimes past bid activity. Buyers typically rely on limited public data, broker materials, and research that takes substantial manual work to compile.
Better-funded institutions may price more precisely than smaller buyers, yet both can reprice repeatedly as a deal advances. Earlyasset provides every buyer with multi-signal analysis that once required a research team, with coverage scaling from one deal to an entire pipeline.
What Earlyasset removes
- Manual research days for each target
- Outdated broker comps from completed deals
- Guess-based bids that trigger counter-offers
What replaces it
- AI price range in 48 hours, with signals
- Confidence tier for setting bid intensity
- One method applied across every target
Pricing signals
The information Earlyasset evaluates
Recent secondary trades
When a target has secondary history, recently cleared trades offer the strongest price reference. The AI weighs timing, share class, and buyer type to separate arm's-length deals from related-party or distressed sales.
Funding round multiples
Every funding round implies a valuation. The AI follows multiple changes, applies sector-specific secondary discounts, and accounts for time since the latest round. This signal helps most when other information is limited.
Acquisition and IPO comparables
For later-stage targets, acquisition and IPO outcomes from comparable companies help establish a relevant ceiling. The AI selects a closely matched cohort, controls for sector and revenue range, and weights recent exits more heavily.
Tender offer bid-ask data
Company tender offer bids and known secondary bid-ask spreads show what buyers currently will pay. They are especially useful because they reflect actual capital commitments instead of model-based estimates.
Revenue and growth references
Public-company revenue multiples matched to the sector, then adjusted for private-company illiquidity and growth stage, set a valuation ceiling for the other signals. The AI chooses benchmarks by sector, ARR range, and growth rate.
Share class stack review
In a common-share acquisition, the liquidation preference stack affects what common holders receive at different enterprise values. The AI models the cap table to estimate common value at low, mid, and high prices, rather than using the preferred share headline price alone.
Workflow
From intake to priced bid
Send a target
Provide the company name and share class under review. Institutional subscribers handling several targets at once can submit them in batches through the dashboard.
See the price range
Your report arrives within 48 hours with low, mid, and high per-share estimates, a confidence tier, and the top 3 signal contributors. It is formatted for internal investment committee review.
Shape your bid
Start with the mid estimate, then account for your strategic premium, liquidity discount, and deal-specific considerations. The signal breakdown helps determine whether the available data supports a narrower or broader bid range.
Track it to close
Institutional subscribers may request refreshed reports as conditions evolve. Follow signal changes during diligence and negotiation, and reorder when new secondary data or funding events appear.
Risk context
What Earlyasset covers and excludes
Earlyasset price ranges use available public and proprietary signals as of the report date. They inform your own pricing assessment, not investment advice. These factors fall outside the model's pricing scope:
- Private company information. We do not receive non-public financial statements, board minutes, or other material non-public information. Pricing reflects market-supported signals, not private company disclosures.
- Transfer limitations. Right of first refusal terms, lock-up periods, and company consent rules differ by cap table and jurisdiction. Earlyasset does not determine whether a particular share transaction is legally permitted.
- Counterparty credit risk. Secondary deals carry counterparty risk apart from share value. Earlyasset does not assess the creditworthiness of either transaction counterparty.
- Tax treatment. Tax results for a secondary purchase depend on jurisdiction, entity type, and holding period. Consult a qualified tax advisor before completing a transaction.
